Time to step out of the shadows! ;)

Hello everyone! How are you? ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you spent a good time, this summer.

From my part, after 3 books, plus one new edition and 2 photographic booklets, after 2 years and a half of Photodiary with a photo a day during all this time (even on sunday, even during vacation!…), after soooo much pictures… amazing photos AND crappy pics, after at least three website hackings in less than a year (yes, this summer, the website was down again, twice!… ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ), I really REALLY needed a break. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I hope you will understand why I didn’t finally show pictures during summer… I admit that this new hackings truly bother me and I became a bit discouraged.

However, it’s OK, now. Time to start the new school year, to show you my italian atmospheres, and to prove once again that I never tire to speak about photography!! ๐Ÿ˜†

I come back with a very good news : there is now a real English version of the website, for those of you that don’t speak French and can understand English better. ๐Ÿ˜›
If your web browser setting is in English, you see automatically the English version, on http://annelaurejacquart.com/en/ .
If not, feel free to click on the union jack flag, in the website menu (at the top of the page, in the header) to view the English website. ๐Ÿ™‚

All the articles have not, yet, their new version, with English ans French text separated, so a few categories, in the menu, are still empty but don’t worry, it will be fixed in a few days. ๐Ÿ™‚

I admit that I am really wondering if someone really read my English gibberishes so it would be great if you could share a little comment to say hi if you are here, kind citizen of the world who loves photography. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Introduce yourself and make yourself at home! ๐Ÿ˜€

Please note that I take time to write the translations myself and I know they are far from perfect… Though, I hope it can help to share my pictures and my photographic thoughts with you. Don’t you think I am nevertheless better than Google translate?! ๐Ÿ˜†

By the way, do you like the new banner with a few pictures in it?

While we are sharing casual news, before that the serious stuff come, I want to say a big thank you to all my fellow readers that bought and red “Retouchez vos photos pas ร  pas” during the summertime. I really hope you loved the book and that your pictures are going to become more and more awesome with the special photo-editing I showed you in it.

I am so happy to announce that the book has already 10 comments on Amazon.fr, with only (yes, only!) “5 stars” notes!!
That’s truly amazing to know that all my readers seem to like the book so much! Thank you to all the readers that took time to write a comment about my book, on this website or another.
Please note that the book is written in French but is also available on Amazon.com, on Amazon.ca and perhaps elsewhere. ๐Ÿ™‚

The last but not the least, what if we started this new school year with this black and white picture full of contrast with a hard light and a gorgeous silhouette?!
I cropped it in a 16/9 vertical format to give it a stronger dynamic and enhance the composition.
I hope you will like it.

Time to step out of the shadows! ๐Ÿ™‚

I found your beautiful watercolors on instagram when i was reading about Sennelier products. My husband and I are traveling to France in June and I was looking for ideas to make a watercolor journal. I love the one you made and I have shared you site with a friend who is also very inspired!!! Thank you so much for sharing and for translating all of this into English. Last year we went to England and all of my indoor photos turned out so so dark. I did not understand how to use the settings on my camera. I am working on figuring this out before this trip so that I can capture beautiful lighting. Thank you for all of your good help!
..Congratuations on your book … it must be wonderful!! If I could read French I would buy it ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great day!
    Merci, Marybeth

    Hi Marybeth!

Thank you so much for your comment!
I am really happy you found my watercolor Instagram feed and my photoblog! ๐Ÿ˜€

I am sure your French watercolor journal will be amazing! That’s a great adventure to make a sketchbook, when travelling or not.
My advice would be to start a “home journal” now. It will help you to create when travelling.
I am now creating with the group #everydayinmay (hashtag on Instagram, group on FlickR…) on mundanes subjects of the everyday life (we have one given subject for every day in the month). Perhaps could it be a good start for you?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Which is your Instagram account? I would be happy to discover yours. ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s great to know you are likely to visit my photo website, as I don’t really know if my English translations are useful or not. ๐Ÿ™‚

What a shame that my book is not available in English!… It could have help you with your camera settings…
You may have the opportunity to see it in the book stores when you will be in France. Perhaps just with the photos, the informative sketches, the figures and a few words you can understand, it can be useful too? ๐Ÿ™‚

    Have a great creative journey!
